In other news, I had a renal ultrasound today to address longstanding kidney stone issues . . . probably independent from Crohn's, since my stones are not the typical calcium oxalate stones seen in Crohn's disease patients. Mine are uric acid stones. Take a gander at what the CCFA has to share about extraintestinal renal complications associated with IBD.

Tony, What a happy, optimistic, upbeat guy you are! Thank you for your bright, happy smile and attitude. My husband has UC and we just celebrated (?!) his first year with the ostomy. His rectum is not ready to attempt a J-pouch surgery yet, but we are hopeful. He and you are much alike in your positive attitude and optimism. You may enjoy his blog/book at trulyamazinglife.com. ReplyDeleteI'm almost 20 and live in Ireland. I was very ill throughout my teens and after years of struggling, my doctors recently diagnosed me with Crohns Disease, Tachycarida, Large Hiatal Hernia, Fibromyalgia, corneal shrinkage and Depression.
Like you I take about 12 tablets a day. A mix of pain meds and vitamin boosts. I'm on immunosuppressant injections (humira).
I must say you are so strong moving on and pushing through life. And with a great sense of humour too! I hope all is working out for you.
